Trinity House Pilot Cutter
Built by Phillip and Son of Dartmouth, she measured 175` 6" by 30` 4" beam with a draught of 11` 0". Gross tonnage was 678. Pathfinder was powered by 2 Polar 2 stroke diesel engines and had a speed of 12.9 knots.
She was ordered by the Elder Brethren of the Trinity House Pilots Association at a cost of £176,948. Laid on the 1st of January 1953, Launched 13 September 1954 and completed 7th feb 1955.
She had accommodation for 22 pilots and worked in the Dover area and berthed at Harwich.
She was sold in 1986 to Lauristen and Co of Gibralter and sailed between the Greek Islands. In 1987 she was converted to a private yacht and registered in St Vincent.
I have been told the was later scrapped.
